Summer Arctic Winter Sport

Arctic Sport Centre brings winter to Helsinki all year round !

It is a winter activity centre, where among others is a 1.2 km long ski track for indoor cross country skiing.
Ski track follows variable terrain in natural winter surroundings.
There is also possibility for biathlon, curling hall, sled hills, ice skating, snow tubing and ice climbing wall (coming 2011). The atmosphere of Lappish winter is experienced through different snow activities in typical landscapes of Lapland.

Arctic Sport Centre's skating opportunities are unique as children and adults can enjoy skating in our snowy environment. Skating Zone is located just next to entrance to snow area. The parents can even track their children skating through big panorama window from cosy and warm Luossa restaurant premises.
Also the curling hall can be onverted into a skating area!
The snow conditions of Arctic Sport centre is of same quality around the year.
Arctic Sport Centre is a unique indoor winter resort which offers the families as well as the top athletes the excellent practice and competition conditions.

For the younger visitors arena will provide their own area in which the learning of cross country skiing, sledding, ice climbing or skating is safe and easy. The skating area is about 500 m2. To make the experience perfect we also provide snow surroundings with natural trees, walls being covered with huge views of Lapland, ice bar, different snow figures etc..

Noteworthy is that the centre has noticing especially the environmental issues when building this indoor sports arena.
The aim is to minimize energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by using both solar panels and wind power.
