Although they're a symbol of the country, you probably wouldn't expect to encounter reindeer when visiting Helsinki. It's a 40-minute drive from the city, but it's well worth the trip to visit Finland's southernmost reindeer park.

Meet the reindeer in Helsinki
Niila (born 2012) and Usva (born 2018) and five females: Taika, Lumi, Nella (all born 2013), Tähti (born 2016) and Helmi (born 2020). Tähti is Usva's mother.

The departure point of the safari is 40 minutes by car and 1 hour by public transport from the city center

Guided tour in English
The private tour includes : the lichen to feed the reindeer, the guide who will tell you about the reindeer, a coffee or a drink with berries, near the campfire and buns by the fire in a comfortable Lappish tipi.
On additional order: lunch with grilled sausages.
