The island of Isosaari is an ideal place to discover the magic of the Helsinki archipelago
The island was opened very recently and is open to the public since January 20, 2018

Isosaari is a former military island belonging to the Finnish state. It was first occupied by Russian forces during their rule and military installations were added over time. The island was heavily bombed by British ships during the Crimean War.
It served as a prison camp during and after the civil war where 1,500 prisoners lodged on the island and a memorial to the dead prisoners was erected in 1955.

Departure in summer, from Tuesday to Sunday, every hour from June 23 to August 13
Price: 37 euros / adult
Price: 24 euros (7-16 years old) / children

Departure in autumn, winter and spring, from January 20th to May 1st on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am and return from 2pm
Ferry journey time: 40 minutes
Price: 32 euros / adult
Price: 21 euros (7-16 years old) / children
Family ticket : 94 euros (two adults and three children)
The price includes a round trip. Children under the age of seven travel for free with their parents. Transportation of groups of children to the island is not free and must be booked in advance.

Family visit ticket : 73 euros (two adults and three children)
The tours last about an hour and a half. During the tour, you will walk about 2 km and will see the main attractions of the island and your guide will open you to the history of the place.

THE OFFICERS 'CLUB

During the summer season, you can cool off at the '' Officers' Club '' restaurant on its seaside terrace with views of Helsinki's most southerly and most spectacular sandy beach.
For groups, the space can accommodate up to 150 people
In autumn, winter and spring '' the officers club '' is open only as a restaurant that can accommodate up to 50 people.
